Soy Candle Care
When lighting your soy candle allow the wax to melt completely to the sides of the container. Failure to do so will cause "tunneling" which will limit the life of your candle.
Because soy wax doesn’t burn as hot as paraffin wax, soy candles require a thicker wick, which does not burn completely and must be trimmed regularly. Trim your wick to 1/4" each time before you re-light your candle. This will ensure a long lasting candle, reduce soot and remove any mushrooming of carbon on the end of the wick.
Please remember that Rayne Wick Co. candles are hand poured, not massed produced which makes every candle a little different. With soy wax you may notice darker patches or "wet" spots in your container candle. This is not a flaw, but a minor blemish where the wax has not adhered to the glass completely. The top of your candle may also appear uneven at times, this is also a sign that your soy candle is natural and handmade.
